I received a brand new tiny tach from DTI. Mine had went crazy and sent in for it to be checked out. I get a package a day or so ago and opened it last night and found a brand new one. Great customer service. Since I was about 3 or 4 years out of warranty.

I always buy Hardline's dual tach/hour meter in the same unit. They've held up well over the couple of years I've had them.
I have been wanting to get one of these... Do the batteries las ansically forever...

after seeing it in action at some GTG, I am really in love with my new 20K tach from DTI, rugged and quick and showed me how bad my hearing really is :)
I cant actually hear a difference of about 6-700 RPMs up around 14K, no wonder everyone tries to take my orange screwdrivers away.
DTI are great folks to deal with.
I would try a hardline or tinytach but I am afraid I would stare at the screen while trying to cut - I like lights and buttons

If I remember correctly, the pkg said 10 yr life on the battery. I believe I still have the packaging and instructions from the one I mounted on my SuperSplit HD in the shop. I'll check here directly and let you know for sure.

@Khntr85...Wasn't sure on the 10-yr timeframe on the battery, it is 10-yrs on the sealed battery. It's a Hardline model HR-8061-2...about $22-24 bucks. Works on all 2/4 cycle gas engines up to two cylinders and a max of 16K RPM's. Here's the last Hardline tach/hour meter I bought mounted on my SS HD.

...physical dimension of the tach/hour meter is 2 1/4" long x 1 1/4" tall x 5/8" deep.

Good to hear... there's a few companies still out there.
Benchmade is another one. I've seen people ask for a replacement clip and they end up getting 3-4 different styles w/ screws for nuthin'. They really take care of ya. You still have yours?

That's pretty cool Mike.

If you're into reloading, RCBS is hard to beat for the same reason. I've gotten a bunch of parts from them just by calling customer service and attempting to order replacements. They'll take your name/address and just send stuff free of charge. First time I called them I couldn't believe it.

that is the brand I also use, but nothing beat Bonanza die set.
Carl Zeizz optic also has one superb waranty, my riffle optics has life waranty, once I fell hard and I bended the tube, I got one new victory scoope from them, they claimed it should handle more then what had happen.

Lol, a bit off tophic ;)
