Thinking about changing things up a little and selling my jonsered saws and going to dolmar or stihl I have dealers for both half close. All the stuff about 026, 044, 064 ect. and 5105, 6100, 7910 I have been reading has me wondering. Has anyone made the switch and been happy or is this a grass is greener thing?

Mixing in a few Dolmars might be fun, but dropping Jonsereds for Stihl?......unless you plan on fishing on a really windy lake, and need a good anchor......

Why not keep your current lineup and buy the one stihl or dolmar you want and try out for a while. You might find the 'grass is not always greener in the other side' or perhaps you will prefer the feel of another saw. Either way i wouldnt totally commit to a unfamilar saw manufacturer without first trying it out. Jmo

J reds n husky are like the moto x of saws they scream. Still does the job and I think in the long run they last longer but they seem to be a bit slower. They are all good saws

Without knowledge of what you currently have and how you typically use them it's a bit hard to give any decent advice.
Well working with tree removal companies here I have used many brands of stock saws. They all have there advantages. It's personal preference in my opinion dodge Chevy ford

Buying a Dolmar or a Stihl is OK, if you're adding to your collection. But selling your Jonsereds to do so makes no sense.
A good rule of thumb is to always end up with one more saw than you had yesterday.

Have had my stihls for a long time.....they tend to last a long time if you do one simple thing....MAINTENANCE. Little cleaning and tuning never hurts once in awhile. That seems to be why huskys and the rest are built like Jaguars. Gotta have all that plastic in the way to keep dust out. lol

I personally do not own a j-red or husky.... Without a doubt I will own one eventually... I have and use Stihls....to all of you husky, j-red, and dolmar owners, do these saws have more speed or torque than the stihls.....for instance would the like models of the ms362--ms461 be faster in the cut or have more torque....

I AM NOT bashing any brands, just wondering what each of the brands high and low points are....
