View attachment 22174 My point is all about the Lack of accuracy in a vestle that some may be using as a base line . There is a thread running all about what 2 stroke oil is best..... BUT if you think you are mixing the correct 40.1 , 45.1 or 50.1 ratio then you need to have a container that IS correct regardless of what oil you chose !
From a 16-18 % inaccuracy with the raw petrol , the mix I would get from the sort of 1 ltr ..2 stroke mix bottles i tried, would be WAY out !
Is this from the pump as well? I usually fill 1 gallon jugs from bigger ones and have them all marked out with 1 gallon from the pump. I add 4 Oz of oil per gallon or real close so I'm not worried baput not having enough oil in there anyway.

No sir...my post is to only draw attention to the "posable" situation with 1 ltr mixing bottles that some may not be aware of . I Mix my fuel in small amounts so as to be sure it is never around long and i can rely on its integrity in a customers machine when testing after working on it.
I assumed the bottles were accurate and found not...bought a lab beaker measure as a datum.

I go through a good bit of mix in saws I port. I won't drain the tank back into my jugs so it's usually dumped into the waste oil. All the local saws I get I drain right away.
