OK. With all the purty new saws you all buy, who goes out and flush cuts stumps with them? I realize they are a tool for the pros out there but I'm asking the "homeowners/weekenders".

I can see someone with a towel laid out on the ground trying not to get it all dirty. Anyone care to entertain??? I bought my 372xp to flush cut stumps in the pasture renovation so I didn't have to drag the MMWS MS460 through the dirt.

I buy some super nice saws, and they always seem to get the crap kicked out of them in the back of my truck. Surprise rains, unexpected cargo, etc.

I mostly use saws that I already made ugly, or ones I've bought cheap and fixed up. I usually try and keep a saw in my truck all the time, they are just nice to have handy around the farm.

I'm that guy who loves to stick the bar in a load of firewood and show off the powerhead, I also keep it in view of my mirror.

Not really, I just usually take so many saws with me that the cab of my truck gets full. Sometimes I can only get a half load of wood in, since half the truck is full of saws.

The 372s make good wheel chocks.

You might want to look into basket weaving if you're bringing a towel to lay under a saw.

I agree with the second part but, he'd be better off throwing the Stihl in the mud to use as a stepping stone.

I say run it like you meant to use it. Cuttin stumps or bucking logs, a cut is a cut, just let the chain do the work.
