You want to run as much oil as you need. Too much, and oil will always fly off the chain which can be messy, and you could run out before the day is over. If I'm cutting small stuff, I turn the oil pump down. I figure it best to set it to run out of gas just before running out of oil, so the bar never suffers damage. I had to use 1 tank of oil per half tank of gas to properly oil my 42" bar, so frequent refills were needed.I thought you were supposed to go through a tank of oil to a tank of gas, That's how My saw's are set up, even My 262 with a 20" bar goes through 3/4+ tank of Oil, to tank of gas ???
Oil is Cheap compared to the Bar & Chain.
Or Am I Wrong on this ???
Base Gasket. Most saws you can remove it and it'll give a good bump in compression.
If you own a 044 then a BGD TA MM and a HD2 will give it special holy grail unicorn status.
Or them 4 things are also know as
"The Treatment "
Bingo.I've got about 25-30 tanks each on my 046 hybrid and 661 and haven't cleaned them yet. They probably need it, but there's no comparison in flow and filtration to anything oem
Welcome back to the futureI’m just gonna go ahead and predict the future of this thread![]()
KickstandWhen I first got to know Randy, he gave me some advice and I admit I was questioning the necessity of what he was telling me a time or two. However after finding him to be correct 100% of the time I tend not to worry, as his word has been good as gold. So yeah, I take it as gospel. He's earned that respect.
Now on a more serious note, does anyone know how to keep my new Husqvarna from tipping over? Lol
You just wanted his 440 ScaweelI finally brought my dad over to the husky side, after watching him pull on his Stihls, I pulled out my 346 and started it on 2 pulls, after that he was sold on them, traded him a ported 2153 for his 026, then a ported 262 for his 440 mag. He loves booth of them.
Dallas is stihl upset about that. All the squeals have been sold.
