Guess a guy needs to use the same saw one bar drilled one not and cut for a full tank same conditions with new chain on each and measure bar and chain temps to see what’s actually going on.
I did that with my Iggesund Forest 115DL 36" 3/8" bar, ground open the hole on one side, left it factory stock & fancy on the other.Guess a guy needs to use the same saw one bar drilled one not and cut for a full tank same conditions with new chain on each and measure bar and chain temps to see what’s actually going on.
Don’t think a bar has a warranty on it evenIn regards to manufacturers, they:
- have to comply to environmental restrictions and regulations
- they may sell less in volume, but they sell more expensive whilst having to warrant less
- they do not care about longevity, a product only has to endure the warranty period at best
I was speaking in generally!Don’t think a bar has a warranty on it even
Thanks! How do you get the pump shaft out?An angled oiler hole prevents clogs. A straight hole collects crud and packs in tight, but the angled hole lets the chain pull the crud past the hole. I have seen a big improvement since going to angled holes.
As far as pilers and mods, I grind a steeper angle on the end of the pump shaft and call it good. A few degrees makes a big difference.
There is a small roll pin. Then remove the adjuster and the shaft should come out. It is spring loaded, so be careful. Thanks! How do you get the pump shaft out?
