I’m kinda disappointed the amount of pulls it took to start, efi and a purge primer I would think it should be less than 6 to stay running. Looks like it runs nice though and I still want one.

Way to early to speculate. Maybe he ran the tank dry? Maybe it was brand new? Lots of "What If's?"
Let's not jump to conclusions before the saw even gets to the USA.

Don’t think they have a start position like m tronic, just a primer and a kill button.

Never said I don’t want one was just kinda surprised, I’ve seen them take anywhere from 2 to now 6 pulls to get running. I’m probably jumping right over the 462 and waiting for this one thinking it’s going to hurt the 462 sales a little.

Well its a very good looking saw for a stihl. But not near as pretty as the Husqvarna

Will be interesting to see when or what will be available first here in the North American market.

The MS462 is basically a oversized latest edition 261/362 but the MS500i is definitely the series of what's to come.
I'd be safe to say the 500 will come later.
And yes a saw can't be more direct then a primer bulb and a off button. So long to the fast idle mode

Still have faith in the 562/572 series. Their circle crank bottom ends may pack a extra pound but boy they sure do perform.

All these whiners that have problems with the MS 661 airfilter should stay away from the MS 500i they have the same HD2 airfilter.

That should be quite a saw when it arrives, but I hate those purge bubbles, can't imagine they will last forever!

Got to prime the fuel injection system somehow. It’s either that or a small electric motor that would need a battery

Stihls new 500i, power of a 661 weighs less than 461 at 13.66 pounds fuel injected!

Seen this today on FB anyone have any info on one of these ?
