Poor man's mill.
I can say that even counting set up, this not only did a better job, it was much faster than by hand checking it a hundred times with a straightedge.
Do you fellas find the need to relieve the ramp and top of cylinder extension as well?
Edit: After fooling around with it, I ended up going back to basics and took off as much as the base.
Whatever I take off the base.....I take off the cylinder extensions.
So, just echoing/piggybacking Docs question, the tapered extension was hand cut after the lathe operation, yes ?
What about the longest part of the extension, was that cut with the lathe or hand cut ?
Remove the entire extension? Extra power to weight ratio?
The extension is for the piston support I guess. Pisto is longer on the intake side?
If it is cut off....the strato cutouts in the piston would be open into the case. Not a good thing.
Just open the H needle a little more...

I cut the flat part of the extension is cut while the jug is mounted for the squish cut. The angled part I cut by hand.
I'm thought about it......just because it sucks. But......
Fortunately it's the only thing that does about this saw.
Agreed. I've got reassembly down to about ten minutes.
Sighted or blindfolded?
Trick question, He’s old and blind anyway.
