Hello guys. I want to buy stihl elastostart for my 3120, but idu which difference between them. I see only difference rope 3.5 and 4.5mm is the handle itself the same?

Get the larger diameter cord. Handles are the same...at least on the saws I have.

I run a repurposed elastostart handle on my Husky 562, using a big stopper knot. It’s gone though a couple big jobs so far and hasn’t torn through the flexible rubber. But given the choice, I would have done it your way.

This is the part number for the handle and rope, it’s for the ms380 upto the 880

It’s just over £25 from Ls engineers. But you may get it cheaper if you look around
