Just got give up a few beers and cigs then most of us can afford to buy the tool. I don't drink myself but a neighbor just sent out for a 12 pack and a bag of chips and it was nearly $20.
What a lot customers forget is that the dealer like many of us small shops do have overhead. If wasn't working out of my own shop at home then there would rent, utilities, telephone and internet services, insurance, labor expense, etc. Can get rather expensive at times to stay in business even working out my home shop. I don't think you would go to work one day at your regular job and do it for free; unless, it is a volunteer job.
With me I grossed 15K last year but only netted 2K before taxes and that not enough to even enough pay all my houshold bills. Definitely not driving around in a new vehicle. Hopefully this year will be better profit wise.
