I think Yankee means a different thing down here (I live in WI, but I'm writing this from Tennessee, so I think I can be an authority on the subject. This week anyway ;)). Down here, everyone who was born up there calls themselves a Yankee. For example "I been down here 20 years, but I'm a Yankee by birth". Now, "damned Yankee" might be a little different...

Anyway, I thought y'all already knew what a Yankee really means:

It's like a quickie, but you do it by yourself... ;)

Oh, and on the DP cover, I'd buy an aftermarket one online. Then when you have to take it back to the dealership, you can put your original back on and the guy behind the counter can't blame whatever factory defect is at fault on your muffler cover. Sometimes you can buy the NWP entire muffler with the DP cover for $30. Then muffler mod to your heart's content. :)

Well, I am an east TN man. We use local people when we can, especially when they are as good as Mastermind. I'm not sure how I would feel letting a Yank or a Canuck work on my stuff. No offense gentlemen, but us Volunteers stick together. And the main reason is because I would not ship it to him since I am through his part of the state at least once a month.

I live in TN as well. I picked Mastermind to port my saws for a couple reasons. 1) bc he is 90 min away and I don't have to deal with shipping, or the fear of loosing a saw in the mail. There was a period not to long ago, I was porting 3-5 saws at a time- that would have sucked if I was paying postage. and, 2) I appreciated how Randy has always shared his work with his build threads. Ive had him port 50 saws since 2010. And my family has spent a lot of time with his family. I consider him top shelf, as a person- as good as it gets. He builds a great work saw, and Im happy with that. I stuck with him bc $/value, I was happy with the saws. I bought all the saws and was having them ported immediately, so a lot of money was going out, which is why I didn't jump around from builder to builder. There was no reason to. Having said that, we have a lot of great builders here, that build some sick saws. @jmssaws, @Miller Mod Saws, @awol, @mdavlee etc. The list goes on, others can chime in and add to the list.

Yank or Canuck?
Not sure how or where you were brought up & raised, but I can tell you something.
I live in NY and couldn't possibly move any closer to Canada without crossing the border.
Canada is literally out my front window.
Calling someone a "Yank" or "Canuck" is an insult where I live!
Not a good way to introduce yourself IMO.
It's all good!
Be Thankful OPE isn't "A.nother S.ite."
Be Thankful our liberals didn't own up to their promise to move to Canada if Trump won.
MMWS is a good investment...

Just so you know, the only difference between the 2 types of Yankees, the Regular one goes back home.

So, You do Qualify for the Latter.

Yes sir, I will definitely be heading home. The South is beautiful certainly, but there just isn't enough snow down here. Kinda hilly here, too.

No harm meant but he Yankee and Canuck comment. No different then us getting called hillbillies. I honestly didn't mean anything mean or derogatory about it. Down here, if you were born above the state line, you are a Yankee. Except Ohio, they have their own name and I sure as heck ain't saying it on here. I am a proud hillbilly, I don't wear shoes after I come home from work, I have a ton of Yankee friends and love going up to Canada for canoe trips and fishing. I apologize to anyone I offended. I will will delete that post.

What part of TN? I don't think I will ever own 50 saws in my lifetime. I will probably use him for the same reasons as far as location, not shipping a saw, etc. I wish I could make it to the GTG, but after my comments, I think I may get strung up! Sorry men, I meant no harm.
