HELP! Stihl 441c fuel tank removal

Hi guys, Haven't posted in a while. I have a Stihl 441c and am trying to remove and replace the gas tank. How the hell do you get it off the crankcase.
The 2 tit thingys that go into the rubber mounts i can't get out of the crankcase. Any help greatly appreciated.

You forgot the part where you swear at it a few times.

Maybe you need to try different combos of swear words.

I figured if he dripped enough sweat on it, the tank would slip right out.

Ok guys, needed some help on this one trying to figure this out.

First of all, is this coil correct for the saw? The IPL only lists one coil, and 1 carb and the manual doesn't cover M-tronic at all, like the saw shouldn't even have it?



Obviously there some tomfoolery happening at the carb..

So, I guess my main question at this point, should this coil have 2 spade terminals or 1?

Gotta swear at Stihl saws in German and mention Andreas every other sentence.

She only came apart because she liked the attention.

Well now you know first hand why its production run was so short lived lol. It must be really bad if even the German engineers threw it in the bin

After I rebuilt the top end on my 441 C M-tronic, I concluded that whoever wrote that service manual was likely committed to a mental institution. Working with that manual was like trying to follow a maze. Skips forward and backward were everywhere. But, I finished the job in 14 hours and the saw runs perfectly today:

It’s a 441. The worst saw Stihl ever made to wrench on.

Light it on fire and buy an 044, a 372XP, or an MS462 to replace it.

I hate that saw.
