All done but the test and tune portion. Did a rough tune on the high jet It had to go in and lean the saw out as it was way too rich. I would have never expected that.
Talk about loud! Now I'll keep you all in suspense until I get some videos posted of it in big wood with the 48" bar

The compression came out at 160 psi hot which corrects to 180 psi at sea level due to my 4200' elevation here. I'm thinking it my be more because when the saw really kicks, it yanks the starter cord out of my fingers every time. I can barely pull on it cold without the decomp release, and I got to 160 psi hot with some week ass pulls.

The easiest way to drop start those big saws with long bars is put the tip on a log and hold the trigger handle and drop it down. Just got to be quick to get it off high idle if there's not a chain brake to keep it from trying to run away.

Nice build. Thanks for showing the pictures and the detail of your work. I'd say the trumpet muffler may not stay on there long, might be wrong but I bet it is LOUD!

That saw was running alot of RPM's before, I kinda did some things to trim back the high rpm's, and built more for torque as he only runs big bars with that saw. I did not like the idea of running and old saw with a 8000 rpm maximum limit on a diet of high rpm's. We shall see.
