I need something
you to rough on it.Had a closer look inside the cylinder once I cleaned it and there was some nasty damage to the top and bottom edges of all the ports and transfers.
Some of the marks in the squish are pretty bad.
Then when I started trying to remove the aluminum transfer in the cylinder a section of the plating lifted.
I will be getting a new Piston and cylinder for it.
Good. How does the rod bearing feel?
Yeah probably was but the dints in the ports had bulged the cylinder bore in which had destroyed the piston.you to rough on it.
you going to mod the replacement?Yeah probably was but the dints in the ports had bulged the cylinder bore in which had destroyed the piston.
Removing them meant removing the plating and probably altering port timing.
I am far more comfortable using a new one
Yeah I plan to get the case together and measure the old jug, then compare with the new onevery curious about timing on both jugs. have a plan for one of those 58's
