Speak to me MS441:372xt

So I'm only allowed to keep one. I use them both for work, but both essentially do the same thing.

Tell me your views, I use a 2511wes, ms241, ea6100, the ms441 and the 372xt.

I would pick 372 over 441 because of parts cost and ease of maintenance. The bar is more practical on the 441. If that entire list is what you have to choose from then it depends greatly on what you plan to use the for. 6100 is the all-rounder firewood saw. 2511 is the contract climber’s saw.

I prefer the 441 because of the strong bottom end and it's ergonomics.

Personally i would go 441, because its no fun having to go thru and retighten all the hardware every time you use it... and it has a good low end grunt, which you want from your bigger saws... least i do....

If you use them for work and they both fulfill the same requirements you will need them both.

I see nothing wrong with having multiple multiple's of 70cc saws.

Might I suggest you also add to your existing saws
044 both 10mm and 12mm
460 and 461

I run a small business tree Surgery.

I used to use a 200t in a tree, but I find this 2511 rear handle just a tad more versatile.

The 241 literally does anything.

The 6100 doesn't get used much anymore.

The 372 has been a long reliable stay.

The 441 doesn't get used much, but I have to say it's a little better balanced than the 372 with a longer bar. Just gets used to chug through bigger stuff.

I'm keen on listening to others views on the saws.

I used to have an oe 372 and a 346ne, they were the best pairing. This 372 xt is not in the same league as the old one, but has more grunt, the 441 I have no comparison to regards the Stihl models, just this 372.

No brainer. The 372 is a classic, the 441 isn't. Now if the Stihl was an 044 it'd be a tough decision. Badass classic saw with crappy air filtration vs. badass classic saw losing bolts.

You can definitely sale the 441 for more$ if you have time sell one.

A 372 XT isn't what I'd call a classic saw..but..I think they make more bottom end power than the OE.

Yeh they fooled me. Got x torq in tiny letters way down low.

I love the 441 once it's been ported. In stock form it's not to impressive. Have it opened up a little bit and it's a super smooth saw with plenty of power. The 441 caught a bad rap with people being stihls first strato saw and it used the husky style AV mounts. I think it was possibly the first auto tune saw from Stihl also. I think we all know about how much saw guys hate change.
The 372 is a solid saw. I'll just always prefer Stihl over husky for a work saw and have a soft spot for the 441.

If it were me though and I could only pick 1 saw to fill my 70cc range spot....I'd sell them both and find a Dolmar 7900/7910 and use the left over money to have it ported.
