I would have to agree with six gun. Never have had any quality issues with ngk. And they seem to be available at any of the parts houses around me anyways.
Price primarily, I don't have a source for NGK, otherwise I'd run those too.
In the past I have had two champion plugs fail. One saw I ended up putting a new coil in because I wasn't getting spark, put a new coil in and nothing. I put a new plug in and all was good. I had it a second time where the plug wasn't firing, put a new one in and all was good again.
Been running NGK for years. Seen friends have some issues with them......and I had a dud right out of the box recently. Going to switch over to Bosch. Have seen several Champion failures over the years. ND (Denso) are great plugs. Always have had good luck with them in motorcycles. If I can get a good price on them I'll run those.
Since german bosch dried up (stashed a box), l use Denzo (japan) but having said that I got some champion plugs cheap on close out sale and they have been really good. I don't have plug troubles really, often a plug lasts 50+ hrs and still look good. No longer clean them with wire brush but instead just a old toothbrush, carb cleaner and dry.
Ngk only for me.won't touch a Bosch since theyre made in china.i've always hated champion.they always left me stranded in the woods when riding my bike back in the day.
NGK 6703 BPMR7A Solid. The solid terminal stands up to vibration much better than the threaded version which tends to loosen. Bought at O'Reilly auto parts for $2.19.
