Slooww but parts are cheap,you can burn anything from ATF to Veggie oil straight,work on it yourself and get 20 miles per gallon going slooow and hauling a full load.
I have one in a 1 ton crew cad 4X4...
I will have that truck when i die,it will probably be the last vehicle i am allowed to drive.I have enough parts squirled away to last.
The Diesel Page is a great resource for all gm diesels 6.2 and up.

So i did an accurate count of square bodies,counting all including very bad parts trucks came to 36...
So one is headed to the final journey,bring down the count to 35,but wait an old Burb the had belonged to my Mom and Dad came home.
It started life as a 1988 Calgary Winter Olympic Games Official vehicle.
Best part about it besides there is no rust, it was a freebie kinda.I traded it for some work i did on the PO girlfriends car.
That makes 8 Burbs,3 4x4 4 2wd and 1 heading to the dump soon.
I will have to decide which ones stay in the next year.Then it starts to cost to get rid of them.

Nice!!!! Their was one for sale local to me a few years back but with a lift and some *pretty boy wheels. Guy wanted $25,000. Also seen one half hacked together with a 24v with the Dodge dash in it. It was a spectacle lol.
