I sure hope you guys are right. Didn’t cost much, but it’ll be awhile before I see another for sale.

I ordered two items from the same eBay seller a few weeks ago, one showed up in a few days, the other was closer to 3 weeks. When I checked at the post office they could only tell me that it had been in Des Moines (100 miles away) but could not conclude where it was. Two days later it arrived...

Woo-Hoo! It came in yesterday. 3 weeks to the day from when it was shipped. Priority Mail.
I photographed it next to the twin to show scale. it’s a runner. 256B91D8-CD3A-4897-850D-8EECE048A9C0.jpeg 48779824-E1F0-4AAA-8E66-BDB8BDB8DA26.jpeg

Hello everyone!
So apparently 40$ Solo 650 caught my eye and i have an urge to buy it lol, but not much found about it, only that it has 51cc.
What year is that model? Who made them? Cannot find literally any parts on ebay, are parts compatible with any other brand?
Ive seen similarities between dolmar and solo, but not sure.

Love to have one for sure. But I think I have to pass. $800 ?
I’m questioning the complete overhaul too, looks like he hasn't finished putting it together.

Yeah, after second look at the price, makes me wonder if he has an old rare saw he thinks he can get a big dollar for. The thing if it is, it’s the demand for the product that drives the price. And missing a top cover, and no other pics of the makes me suspect.

A new Solo in the house! After fuel system overhaul the saw runs great. Pulls like a freight train in big wood and cuts at a fairly respectable rate. I’m missing only the top to the rear handle. If you got one I have stuff to trade (or$). Here she is!50D0FA71-F69E-4C33-811B-8626DDBE618A.jpeg43BCC590-0E29-446B-9742-42DC676BB3DD.jpeg3DAF7B00-8F47-4174-8D43-73D109F85D26.jpeg
It’s a 635. Been rode hard and put up wet. Has case damage from a bow bar I believe. But it still runs great. I’ll fix it up nice.

This afternoon a buddy of my dad (they both have old McCormick tractors)
dropped by and rang my bell. I first thought he hit the wrong door
but he asked me if I was the one collecting old chainsaws and if I would like have to his.
Had had been reviewing his stock and decided in his remaining live (he's 83)
he would probably never ever begin to deal with the saws lying around for 20 years
or longer. He even had the saws with him in his car.
So we both took a look and now I unexpectedly have two more vintage saws.
One is a SOLO 60126. The other one has no decals, marks or signs visible
but I assume it to be a Dolpima from Poland.

That's a nice score. The second saw is definitely a Dolpima, one of the earlier ones.

I recently got a 60126 myself but it's missing several parts. I may try to hunt everything down and make it a runner.

The Dolpima is a BK3A or BK-3A but with wrong sprocket cover and muffler,
that's what I have learned meanwhile.
The Solo looks like no parts missing and seems a good candidate to become a runner.

A Solo hobby 645 is expected to arrive within the next few days.
Seems like plenty of amusement for the coming long winter evenings

This is the next SOLO to be queued for a time-slot on my bench

Advertised as SOLO 645 hobby there are some details puzzling me:
- the black exterior parts seem all to have been red in first place and later been coated black
- no "hobby" lettering cast on the starter
- very pale yellow coating on the main body not as vivid and saturated I have seen on other 645 hobby.
B&C came with her, I haven't given them a look yet.

I have a Solo 640. While it does have red covers, the model number is cast into the starter housing. I could not tell if yours has the compression release or not. Mine does. You’re gonna need three hands getting it all back together if you split the case. Wow! What a puzzle. I put new rings in mine and it will pull a 20”. 3/8 full comp chain all day. Really strong saw. Should be at 67 cc’s tho. Really cool saw.
