Local auction, saws and related stuff went pretty fast and I didn't quite get there in time for the first lots but I still ended up with some more stuff to go through. I spoke with a few of the other buyers and asked them to come by when they have a chance as there were a few other items I would like to have acquired.

These were the photos a friend sent me in the morning when telling me about the auction.

Some parts & literature

A few NOS bars including a nice long General under the pile.

A few saws as well.

If I'd been able to get there earlier I would have ended up with a few more vintage Husqvarna saws as well.

I love auctions. The last few weekends I have been a drowned Muskrat at auctions.

Speaking of that on Monday I picked up (174) #1.5 single and #2 double long springs to harvest a few coons.

I haven’t been to an auction in years. I’d go for one thing and end up with two truck loads. It was the beginning of the end of junk moderation for me. My first house was built in 1928 and I furnished and decorated inside and outside with 90% period correct crap. There’s so much still in boxes after the last move. I found some pretty good stuff over the years.

As I was making my way from home to the Badger Steam and Gas Show in Baraboo, WI today I stopped at Frawley' Saw Shop in New Albin, Iowa. Frawley's is also known as Logger Chain on the internet. Jim is a great guy and we chatted for over an hour. I bought all of the old chainsaw bars he could find under one bench near the chain inventory and one of the adjustable anvils used for breaking chains.

On-site auctions are becoming very rare. The entire COVID-19 crap was their demise.
