Good friend that owns tree service just bought this 2017 Bandit 18xp, backup for his Morbark. Any thoughts, parts to keep on hand? Good thing about both are manufactured in Michigan, just south of here.

yes an extra set of knives so when it is time to change them because they are dull you dont have to wait till they are sharpened to get back up and running. edit is also extrs fuel filter as they dont give warning when they need to be changed when they get all plugged it doesnt run right. i like that chipper it will eat whatever you put in it

A 1989 268 wrap… Clutch cover is like WTF, and the 4 screw holes where band strap was used to replace a broke av…. But at least the p&c is good.

They are, I can just about duplicate that grind but I have to use 2 different sized files.

I have noticed its a few micro grams heavier than Oregon chain....it just tires my out so much faster......lol.

Two diff files? interesting....
I've heard tell it's difficult to get it to cut like new after sharpening.

I bought another one for $ 10, unfortunately, the same thick oil and seized connecting rods at the bottom and this is a piston from the carpentry shop . there will be more orders from china ;-)

Yea JJ , was looking at a couple fasteners they wanted 13 dollars for two dang screws unreal, that’s a hell of a deal 63.00 with discount.

Duel port that muffler, there way to restricted from factory, the saw will thank you later. Did a couple mods to mine from Bruce , they run very good out of the box
