Better than a FedEx truck!
I waited ALL DAY yesterday for this one!
Supposed to be delivered between 10am-2pm.
I gave up & was PIZZED about 6pm.
Azzhats showed up @ 7pm!
I wasn't real happy with the driver!

the driver can do the least for it. his boss only plans too few vehicles and drivers to earn more money.

I've got the 779, basically the same saw, but without the laser. I like it a lot...same story, mine was an incredible score at a Lowes a couple years ago. I browse the sale items on Lowe's website, as they frequently have stuff for sale online that isn't advertised in the stores...my miter saw was an example of this. Online, it was buy the saw and get the stand for free...it wasn't advertised in store, I showed the manager their online sale on my phone, and he sold me the saw and stand for $400.

I would think they would run almost neck and neck. I'm looking forward to hearing how they do.
Cutting blocks on the first tank of gas: The 400 cuts faster. Ran them both with 20 inch bar. The 400 just screams. Randy builds a hell of a saw. This 400 is going to cost me more money - porting the 500.

I almost said after you run them the 500 will get ported. Hahaha!

The 400 is 5.4hp. If you guess a 30% bump that's 7hp. The 500i is 6.7hp. So that's why I expected them to be close.

Before anyone jumps all over this, all builders have different results on different saws.
I don't own one of Randy's saws so I have no first hand knowledge to speak from.
I'm not saying anything about how his saws perform compared to that estimate or compared to anyone else's saws.

I'm just using a ballpark number to give myself an idea of how they might perform. Anyone who gets offended or excited should go take a couple breaths.
