That mention of a South Bend lathe takes me back to about 1963 when I was 14-15 years old .The first metal lathe I ever used ,I think it was 9 inch and had about a 5 gallon bucket full of change gears with it .Surprising what that old antique could do .Then again looking back surprising what I could do at that young age .My dad who was a journyman tool and die maker at one time said i was a natural .--Funny I ended up as an electrician some how .Go figure .

As I figured![emoji857][emoji857]
You either work to pay for the crap, or you work to get a deal on it ;).
Checked all the bulbs today, 29 bad, and 257 good, I also packaged the bulbs in 20's so they were easy to handle( and I can sell them in lots of 5 fixtures). So I can fill 64 of the fixtures and I only need 25. If I sell 30 at $10 each, that would pay for them and my fuel to get them, anything over that I bonus.

Today I finally found the first deal on a saw in a long time, hopefully this one breaks the shortage of deals I've found on them for the last couple months. It's not a husky, but stihls are for selling right lol.

I think $ 100 looks too nice ;-)

Bought a new muffler for my 394, need the exhaust directed away when milling.
Maybe put a deflector in the front, dont want to cut into the topcover.

Evening mechanics!
Broke loose a rusted honey bottling tank plug with map gas and a bolt extractor, dam rust!
What additive to add in water to stop the rust?
On a search for 5/8" or 3/4" water resistant plug Thursday.
Or 3/8" since nun of the above fix, dam plumbing nat. pip tread!
No wonder it was such a bargain price!
Slackers can't fix!

Don’t know about stopping rust but put a brass plug in it. It will come out next time

I’ve always wanted a Dolmar/Makita 7900. I did a quick google search and was kinda surprised to see them for sale on Amazon. I ended up ordering one with the heated handles.

You will really like those heated handles. I cut a lot in the winter and appreciate them.
