What brand are those spinner and punch? We have had a set like those since before I can remember (probably since the 80's) and they work better than anything newer I've tried.

This gorgeous tool showed up in the mailbox today! Goes up to 24,500 rpm's.
This will keep company with our M12 Fuel impacts, drill, cordless screwdriver, right angle impact, etc. They have been a game changer for us.
And in the background is another failed Briggs camshaft ACR.

The only problem with the M12, at least mine, is the batteries. They DON’T hold up like the M18 or Makita.
The cases may be a little flimsy, but we have a dozen or so batteries and have yet to see one go bad under hard everyday use for at least 4 years.

That’s why I said partially regret. My m18’s are 6 years old and are tools I use a hard 5 days a week and still run the same 5 battery’s. Some of the best money I’ve spent easy.
I just want an m12 impact to use as a screw/nut driver doing large repair jobs on rooftop units, save my wrists

You beat me to it! If talking capacity and innards, they are great. I think we had one break the one lock tab off, though. That's their weakness.
I've never run M12, only M18. So, I'm legitimately curious.

Foley Bellsaw

Thanks! Grandpa bought a bunch of Foley Belsaw equipment back in the 80's, including a chain sharpener, carbide circular saw sharpener, hand saw sharpener, circular saw tooth setter, and scissors sharpener. By the way, they all still work despite regular use in the intervening 45 years. But most of those tools are green, where these chainsaw punch and riveter are red. That's why I didn't realize they were Foley too.

Foley and Belsaw were together and were separate. There was Belsaw items, Foley items, and Foley-Belsaw items. I have had the spinners and chain breakers before. They were well made

I think those chain breakers and spinners were made by a company called Herr. They made them for Stihl too.

They are mentioned in this old thread:

The spinner uses short anvils that are getting hard to find.

As in they don't take as many charges before degrading?
Nor last as long. I’ve got an 18 battery on my hatchet that still is going strong since winter. Haven’t had to charge it yet. My 12’s are constantly needing charging. Yours may vary. I’ve got about 4 12’s that won’t take a charge. I like the 12 system except the batteries. I’ve got a bunch.

The capacity makes sense, but if they just crap out more frequently, then that's no good.

I hammer on my M18 batteries, to a point where the impact is about to hot to hold, and I can't count how many times I've had them shut down to protect themselves from overheating.

I've been on the fence about the M12 stuff for a while now.

I used to use DeWalt 14.4 and 18 volt. I then tried Milwaukee 18 volt and thought it was much better. Well a few years ago the factory I was doing weld inspection in used 20 volt DeWalt. They used impacts to do jobs they were never designed to do. I could not believe the abuse those things took. I assumed they were replacing them often but it turns out they were not.

I had a 18 volt DeWalt impact and wanted to get a higher torque one. At the time the best was a Milwaukee 18 volt but it was 3/4 drive. I dropped the coin on it but I was not a fan of 3/4. Well later they came out with a 1/2 drive that had the same or higher torque. I bought too early

I spent $25 again 😉 The 7-speed barrel requires cleaning and lubrication

Picked up a pretty nice, older Weber Summit grill (for $25) to replace the Weber Genesis that I've been using for years. The genesis will live its life out up at the campsite.
