I bought this off eBay a few days ago, arrived today.
The Disston saw utilizes a "straddle scratcher" chain so the bar itself is just a flat piece of steel.
The saw belongs to Steve Lambert AKA sawnami.

I love finding new old stock stuff.....but that is on another level of cool!!! I have my eyes on one now, just to have for display.

Thanks for sharing it and a pic of it on the saw. I didn't know about the "straddle scratcher" chain, so that is interesting too....I went down a rabbit hole and did some reading on it, straight from a pic the manual I found in an ebay advert.

The $5 grinder is 28 years old, it survived because the brushes were jammed due to construction dust, it has no spindle lock and has an unusual plastic gear housing.

Birthday present to myself. I've done the sand & polish thing to probably a dozen vehicles with great results, but I found these really high quality remakes for a heck of a good price. Almost half off on Amazon. Brand is TYC and they even came with Sylvania bulbs installed. The fit was perfect, the finish compared to the USA made factory assemblies to me looked as good or better. It's rained 6 inches here in the last 3 days and there is zero moisture in these new ones. Im a happy guy.

I definitely scored today with a decent load of husqvarna pro saws. I'm pretty new to messing with husqvarna but I couldn't pass on this deal. There is 371xp, 372xp, 575xp, 576xp,385xp,390xp, and 395xp in the pile. Several of some of those models. Plus assorted extra plastics, cases, and parts. Thinking I'll probably put the 372xp and possibly a 390xp back on the back of a shelf somewhere and get to building them to hang onto myself.

What I am short on though seems to of course be carbs, mufflers, and clutch side covers...
