076 super or standard? I have the 075 and have always wondered if the 1/2 or so spacer in the 076 super intake actually made much difference.

I've been wondering tht as well. I have both but the super had the carb swapped out to the tillotson. I've been searching for a walbro carb so I could do a side by side comparison for years.

Still have the spacer just has the different carb? If so would the walbro make much difference? Or converted to the low intake also?

Carb is a ws26-a. Spacers there, tag says super. I believe the carb that's on it now is from an 051.

A friend has a 056 in the basement if your interested.
042 and 048 are about the same. Bigger bore. I have a 048 with a later coil on it. Runs good.

What variety of 056 is it? Running or needs repair and what would he want for it?

That's not a salesperson.....that guy is a certified moron, and a lazy bastard. The level of misinformation is truly mind boggling at times. I work for two different power equipment retailers. The independent shop is pretty much problem free. The Farm and Ranch store, not so much.

Funny thing is I went to same shop needed parts for a 200t. Guy said what's a 200t? Must be old

Sales people aren't always well informed .The last time I bought a loop of rapid super chain for one of my 200's the lady tried to sell me Stihls' version of a carbide impregnated chain .The shop owner over heard and had a kindly chat with her before I could say a word .I just smiled .

I just bring part numbers with me so nobody has to think and I get what I want. Just easier that way.

Yeah parts are easier on new stuff. All I have is old stuff pretty much. No ms series except for 171 and 271. My 075 is old but parts for the ts-510 and 760 are still easy to get.

Yes Like my046 and the 066 and the ms-460 or the cylinder ported muf-modded 661! Gotta find the time to see if it has advanced timing. Came with ported cylinder & empty muffler with standard opening for the exhaust to leave. Much better runner since the muffler openings have been enlarged! Whatever they are let 'em breath. IMHO has helped 'em all.

Never have had a chance to try an 088/880 yet but I think as far as stihls go my 090 would be hard to beat milling slabs.
