It's a Pacific Energy T-6 Alderlae non-cat. Overall it's not a bad unit, but if I were to do it again there would either be a Jotul Black bear if I went for a non-cat or a Woodstock Soap Stone if I went the cat route. I may still pick up a Woodstock as a neighbor has 2 new in the crate never fired (I forget the model but one of the larger ones) of which She offered either one to me at $1800. We'll see as a seconde stove wouldn't hurt this old farm house (and my propane bills) one bit. We lose power too (often in the Winter) and I like the rugged simplicity of a stove. I will have a boiler someday hen I build a new house, but I'll still have a regular stove for the ambiance and the mesmerizing enjoyment of watching the fire dance on a cold night.
The wood in the fire at the time of the pic was well-cured Hedge FWIW.
Nice looking stove Mel. Bus looks good too. I would think if you open that top draft valve a little before you open the door, it would clear the smoke pretty well. I like smell of smoke as long as it's outside...Retired friend of ours has been sitting on this old Atlanta Stoveworks "Huntsman" for 20 years, we worked an easy deal as it's been just taking up room in his shed and he's looking to sell out and move.
I found this bus for sale on one of my recent trips, figured if I can get anything at all for our Home I'll buy that bus and put the stove in it. Find a quiet spot and rough it until we can afford something without wheels lol...

Gonna give this old stove a face lift and install it in my shop this summer. I'm not sure what make it is (haven't looked). I really need some heat in the shop. Seems like I'm in the shop more in the winter then in the summer.View attachment 4538
That didn't happen. Gave the stove to a buddy. Got a forced air wood furnace instead then changed my mind again and now I'm gonna put in a propane furnace. Lol.Well, how goes it?

I still don't have any heat in the shop.
