This is a Norwegian axe, Mustad, hafted with a 26" Hultafors Bruk ,hickory handle that has been fire treated and oiled by me. This is the first axe I ever buildt , 2015. View attachment 111276

Trouble is I keep packing stuff away taking parts out for customers then putting it away and burying things
Tonight I counted up I got 10 more axes ready for Ebay and xxx too keep

Yes you are right, the same company! Made this axe between 1920 -1950..

I just came across this guy on Instagram. Some of the nicest work I have seen. I'd be afraid to use it. And his stuff aint cheap. But definitely some ax porn for all of us. Very unique work. He is a 3rd generation cowboy.

Treat yourself to a nice Gransfors Bruk. They are much, much nicer than HB.
Or if you prefer USA made, get a Hoffman. Only one I know of that forges the polls so they can be used for banging.
