It’s funny we do an axe and are happy with it 100% then you see wilhelm’s strong axe with that big metal wedge and I automatically think oh no mine isn’t strong enough it’s gonna be loose as hell within a week
Call me over for a beer, have some rounds ready to be split and I'll quality/durability test Your ax!

Or come by my place with Your ax, have a try at my saws in some oak logs while I test the ax of Yours! ;)

Picked up a Husqvarna carpenters axe for $30 at the dealer. He said he couldn't move the wood handled axes. I guess I will find a use for it. I need to do some edge work since it is roughly ground on a belt grinder. View attachment 105316

Got the other side of the raffle ax polished. Sanded with the following grit in order: 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500, 1800, 2000, 2500. Finished with regular mothers polish then finally mothers Billet polish. She’s purdy.

I have this same one ,i use it to resplit firewood smaller out of the pile to make it smaller ,has a nice head shape to it.Is a good kindling axe also .

Nice one. now I’ve done a Oak one same size as bamboo also which will sit into that shiny big head ,I’ve got a very nice tough piece of European Larch I gotta small axe head small well worn which is a wall hanger gonna try a piece for a short 28” handle nice and fat
