Locally these are all the handles I've found.
i finally found a nice cruiser handle 10.00 the seymore midwest link handles are good handles 11.00-15.00 they didn't require much sanding and shaping some of their other handles are far to big in diameter in my opinion 20170601_200903.jpg .
The truper brand are too flat 11.00-15.00 i had to do a lot of sanding and shaping the do it brand hardware handles are the best i found 11.00-15.00 not much sanding don't know the maker but they are all comfortable now they suit me and my friends.

Finished this cruiser up I've had
Every common style of kelly/true temper but this one.
I really like it 28 20170608_164054.jpg inch hickory
It's very light and handy.
It's very sharp from the vinegar bath.

I noticed that you have posted quite a few axe's,and when I saw you in Simon's thread earlier today, I was going to ask you what thought about cruisers, but didn't want to mess up his thread any more than I already had. So I'll ask you now, how do you feel about cruisers? Do you have a few? I personally love 28" handles and a smaller head. No the reason I ask is because I have quite a few head's of various flavors and styles. Probably more than I'll ever be able or want to hang. So if you had said that you didn't have any I would have probably e- mailed it to you . Some of em could use a good home to be adopted by and you seem to post more about axe's than anyone else...
And I appreciate that link to the handle manufacturers you posted the other day, good stuff...

I'm no expert we always used axes it's the First cruiser I've ever owned I've always seen them around.
I thought they were for small stature people or teens.
But they are very handy i know
Several guy's that use them
Atv/offroad limbing roots etc.

I am trying to decide/find the perfect size and style of wedge banger that can be carried on your belt but still be large enough to be effective . Have considered something like Husqvarnas carpenters axe but? If you have any suggestions, especially something that can be bought new let me know... Matt
I'll try to learn how to post pictures from one of my teenagers and load up some axe shots. Do you ever put any kind of overstrike protection on yours? Anything that one of my kids is going to use gets it, and I generally use old license plates...

These were gifts from friends so they are keeper's.
It's garage sale and flea market season here what are you looking for i will keep an eye out.

Thanks for the message
I like the Kelly true temper flint edge shape and style I like the curve top and bottom not over keen on the flat top , but Iam inquisitive about the puget style
And the cruiser or plumb 2 1/2 lb to 3 1/2 lb

I don't mind any axe even if it's quite worn or covered in rust I can't get them over here
so any double bit Is better than no axes

I've never used an axe that wasn't older than me as far as i know lol
Some of these guys have the new stuff.
I use this Kelly my friend got me he used to work there it's a single bit 3 1/2 or so pounder i cut a lot of dead ash so i like a full handle to pound wedges.
And get away from them they are
A pain to cut some crack like a gunshot.
Others blow the heart out when they
Start to go.20170608_191625.jpg
So i get away from them they like to rain limbs too.

Oh I'm definitely no axe man! Just got quite a few of em.
I would love to post some pics of my exploits, but never really been a picture tooker. Plus the downloading of em can be somewhat problematic due my kids have to get frustrated when they teach me something, but because of the head injuries and the really cool metal plate I have in there they end up teaching me again and again, I think I can't remember if they taught me before! Hell if one of you push like on one of my post I have to push it to go back and see what I wrote 10 min. after I wrote it!
It's great if you want to watch the same movie again fairly quick cause I remember very little about it. They tell me it's probably CTE the same thing that retired football players are getting similar to early onset dementia but can't be accurately diagnosed until post mortem, and I think I will wait for the diagnosis! So I am sure that it has to be frustrating like I said for my family to deal with a no remembering pappy.
And if I ever start repeating myself to much on here don't hesitate to tell me! Sorry leadfarmer I know all you asked for were pics...
