I'm not sure I contacted the blacksmith and ask d him if he could make a heavy head with thicker bits for wood splitting.Wow! That is very nice! What steel was used? That is heavier than GB splitting maul.
Honestly not sure as I've not seen the axe in person this was just a couple pics he sent me after forging it before hardening.JT.. I have to ask and it’s not in a negative way. But how deep Are those inclusions on the bottom of the axe head at both bits? Structurally id be a bit weary of how deep they go into the metal for integrity sake.. it’s absolutely beautiful and nothing beats a custom axe!! Just was wondering
