I got her, made in Bosnia, 1.2kg specified, 32" handle.
Finish looks OK, has one "ugly spot", blade is slightly off line to the heads eye.
Handle is most likely beech, is straight, self securing no wedge.
I wouldn't have bought her if I didn't like the build.

Shall I give her a try?
I have one and a half large oak log left to play with.

Nope, no tree service contractors in my area.
Even if there were, there is no chance to get free wood.
Selling firewood is big grey area business in Croatia.
There is less every year due to over logging and illegal logging.
Every tree is worth processing for firewood, somebody will pay for it when the cold begins!

I just read an article about a young (33) blacksmith only a couple kilometers away from me.
Apparently he is doing custom work, plow blades, cleavers, swords,...
I'll have to go take a look, see what he's got, find out whether he'd be willing to duplicate my ax if he doesn't have something similar.
