Was going to sell it for someone else to turn it into a 681, but when I was laid up, figured I needed a project.

Now, after running it a bit, really doubt I'll be able to part with her any time soon.

Anything I buy I find hard to let go. haha Heck, I picked up an old Homelite Xl-12 that was burned up...got it to run and it ran fairly well, but leaked so much air(bad seals or blown head gasket. Doesn't help that it's burned up either) it wouldn't idle no matter what you did. Still have yet to take it back to the bone yard as it's sitting and taking up space. Wanted to restore it, but I have my trucks to do, and with the half crap wage I make I just can't afford it.

Well this winter I did my first in-depth rebuild..... This ms362 I got for $40 was used to drill holes in telephone poles....so it had no clutch cover, bumper spikes, broke pull cord, missing a lot of screws, broke clutch shoe, and a bad spot in the piston and cylinder...these guys would run these saws wide open then jam them into the pole, well needless to say they broke the clutches a lot lol.... They didn't know any better and thought the saws were burnt up lol.... I wish I could of bought 10 like this....anyway after rebuilding carb and everything else she runs like a champ.... One of my most used saws now...

I honestly should sell half of what I own, especially the ones I have more than one of. But I probably fall more into the collector/enthusiasts catagory. I don't use saws every day and when I do its mostly for cleaning up fencerow and down limbs. I only burn wood in the shop. I actually enjoy working on saws more than using them, even tho I do enjoy hearing them roar and seeing chips fly. So as a collector it's hard to let one go, unless it's for one I don't already have.

Things I need to sell, 372's 046's 350's 028's and a few more I'm sure I'm missing.

got this saw from ben it is one of the 38 or 39 saws he let go haha. his muffler mod on this will make a deaf kid cry.
its a stihl 041 farm boss non av points ignition. i might install new rings later on and do a base gasket delete or run it as is.
has 140-145 lbs of compression which i guess is good for a saw of this age.

I sell all of the pretty saws, and keep the beaters. Saws are how I make a living.......so.

Saws I can't sell.......

Gifts......I can't part with a saw a friend gives me.

Ported by someone else.....I only have one like that. A 346 that Wiggs ported. It's not for sale.

Sand cast Poulans........I collect those.

Pretty much how I do it. Justin/Cowroy gave me the 046/460 I've got. I've put maybe 7 cylinders on it but it's staying. Jason gave me this 650/660 so it's my test bed for 660 stuff. Bill/Griffonks give me a heated handle 266 for a port job. Thing runs awesome and is almost PSP material. It's my winter time saw. Just need a matching set of spikes for it. Adam Clarke give me a husky 44. It's my dad's saw for fire pit wood. Little thing has a ton of compression and runs awesome for the size. The rest I would sell in a heartbeat if I need to sell some.

Most saws I buy to fill a nitch. If it doesn't work for me I sell it. First saw I ever rebuilt was a Stihl 440 magnum. Didn't really suit me then it got bent. So I sold it to a monkey:D. Next one didn't suit me I traded now we're both happy. Last one, I looked around saw five running 80cc saws and decided I didn't need six and flipped it to the guy that had the parts to fix it. I got two in a box to go that were free to me and now I'm passing it on. Guess I'm not to sentimental.
I do have a Solo 667 that I need to finish that will stay simply due to stubbornness. I've also picked up several saws for others that I didn't look at to close for fear of them growing roots.
