It takes me the better part of an hour to properly pack a saw for shipping. Disassemble and package loose parts, select a box, wrap powerhead in rags and multilple layers of plastic so no smells escape, cover bucking spike with pool noodle or pipe insulation, put in box with packing. Pack that box in a larger box and tape the packaged bar to the inner box, tape it all up, measure and weigh box, buy postage online and print out the address label, affix, take to post office.
That's why I don't sell many saws online, just a few parts here and there... Plus it costs so stinking much to mail one nowadays it's hard to be competitive with local sales.
I prefer to sell my saws on CL, in person. They never come back that way... Of the hundred ish saws I've sold, I only had one get returned and that was clearly a mechanical defect. (broken wrist pin circlip). I took it on trade for a larger saw. (he got all his money back for it)
I've since fixed that saw up again.
