Man half what we post on here is a waste common sense wise. Lol. I was cutting today with a 25” on my 084. To each their own.

On a brighter note, how’s the Mac 125 treating ya?? Can’t wait to get mine back from Jim.
Well I got a 48" roller nose for it just gotta get a chain for it now lol I ran it with the 32" that came with it but it was a waste lol

Homey 775g NOS top end, first cut.

Sent the link to my dad. He's gonna sh!t. :D

He's already whining about having to take my mom to the Sisters Quilt Show when when they visit this summer. Once he sees his 775G like this, she's gonna have to crowbar him away from it.

Wow. Imagine hand filing that chain. Sounds fantastic Jim and made a mountain of chip pretty quick.
I only hand file. Lol
A chain like that takes me about 30 minutes to square file, and about 15 minutes for round filing. It took me a little longer to file the rakers than it did to get the teeth sharp on this one. I really need to get a new file.

Do you freehand? Or are you using a guide?

I have a Timberline and a Granberg. I like them both, but i prefer the Timberline in the field.

Have you seen the new doo-hickey from Stihl?

I'm one of those free handers. I found I have a good knack for seeing the angles and hitting them straight, while maintaining a good hook. And I keep my eye in tune by frequently double checking with a guide.
