I did an MS440 with .010 out of the chamber-just to clean it up. Cut base for squish of .020 with gasket. Muff mod and timing adavance. Can't believe how well the darn thing ran with zero port work. Wanted to just keep revving.

Still a bit amazed at what this little mod will do to a 44.

I like it. That 046 is torquey and smooth. Where'd you end up at with numbers?

I think it's 99-100 116-118. Mains are before the fingers if I remember right.

If using the right 044/440 cylinder, cutting the squish and base just right puts the numbers right near where the old slant fin numbers are.

Was just chatting with a fella about how just squaring the band to the base can make a huge difference.
