But it didn't beat the big Mac while the princess saw did. :(

Starts at 35s

Then again the log rolled as we both started the cut jamming up my saw for a second or two. Fun stuff!
Julian needs to learn how to run a ol mac... gotta use the dawgs man. Lol

New saws or previously broken in?
2nd one is nearly new. 2 tanks maybe. 1st one has maybe 10 tanks.

2nd one is turning maybe 200 more rpm in the cut. But when you dog in, if it drops 1000 rpm, the 1st would drop 600 rpm.

What do you think, Jay? @Grjfer

I like torque, but if you can also add speed to it … that is where it is at! I prefer that to a saw that is fast but hi strung.

The trick it to make the saw stronger w/o making it peaky! I wish I knew all the answers as to "how"!!!

What was the difference in porting of the 2 261s???

I would be happy with either one! One is almost broken in and the other has a long way to go!

Saw #2 will win after break in or at least match the first saw is my prediction. I try not to compare saws until I’m sure they have a good amount of runtime/debugging. Everyone knows new saws are tight. But... I understand you porters can’t wait on saws to break in, gotta get em out to customer.

I'll give my "armature" 2 cents: I think break in could make the difference. Some of my saws really seemed to improve with break in, others seemed strong right from the start, I can't explain why.

My 2 saws that seemed to improve most from break in were my 362-C and my CFB Hybrid. The Hybrid was fast from the get go, but really gained a lot of torque during break in. I'm guessing some rings take longer to seat???

I think the high quality synthetic oil is good for our saws but the saws take much longer to break in! Does that sound right to you guys?
