I widened the bottom of the intake, raised the exhaust 5 degrees, and bumped up the compression a smidge. The first cut was easily .5 to 1 second faster, but got slower as it heated up, I already had it warmed up before cutting. Kinda hard to tell if it gained anything. I think the key to a 590 is the intake duration with such a small carb and boot.

One thing is for sure, it has no problem running a 20" bar in half dry hard wood.
