Conclusion of shootout... all good saws. But run the modded 064 if u want a beast (85cc of rock and roll)... however if you want similar power to the modded saws... while sipping fuel, smooth AV and without all the extra noise... run the stock 572. It’s got great grunt for its size with the 28” bar.

And yes... I lowered my safety standards and was wearing shorts and tennis shoes because I was just cutting a couple cookies + it was over 90 degrees out and humid as heck. I don’t recommend doing that. Lol

Two reasons I didn’t run 7900, it is retired for the summer from logging, didn’t feel like fueling it and I ended up cutting the rest of the log with the 441 calibrating it cause I reset it. Needs more run time. I wish I did run it though.

Ahhh. Ok. Just curious how the 064 and 7900 square off against each other. But I know you already did a couple similar videos with both of them.
But you got another blue 7900 too I think...lol

That blue 6401/7910 smurf is someone else’s saw too but it runs real nice. I modded it basically the same as the 7900. I need to compare the 7900 to 064 again. It beat it when the 064 had just a muffler mod. 64 making more power now.

You need a 064. Lighter than a 660 and almost the same power. No decomp is the setback if you want to raise compression though.

They are great saws, but since I mostly use the 660s for milling, the weight is not as important for that, and the 660s are likely more robust.
