Basically i'm more of a husky guy because of the glorious 3 series (and i own more huskys than stihls too), but after all my testing with the 462 and 572xp, for me personally, the 462 has the edge. Best all around package you can buy these day's! It's light, powerfull and has good filtration. Keep in mind, the 462 not only shoots heavy bullets on the 572xp with its weight advantage it attacks also the 562xp with less weight! 60cc weight with 70cc power. The only thing to stop the 462 for beeing really succesfull is (maybe) less durability against the 572xp, but only time will tell.

That is literally the most unbiased thing I've ever heard here lmfao and you arent wrong! I feel exactly the same way. Does that extra weight on that husky mean it will be more durable? Who knows, only time will tell.

Its awful hard to go wrong with a 462, 572, or 7900 currently.
I couldn’t agree more. @Redbull661 , Julian very nice comparison. I think you need to be on the R&D team. I know they like to have them in the field for testing but you have a keen sense of detail that would compliment field testing.

Oh..... what about air filter pics. Asking for a friend......

that’s a operator error thing
no. No it isnt. Its poorly engineered and stihl has neglected to invest in replacing said poor design. Too many parts, difficulty removing them if damaged. Least the husky one has a slot for a screw driver should the flip portion break.

Okay, I'm done pissing and moaning about filler caps lol
