Nice saws Dan! Mason was just happy the Stihl was slower. But for the test you gotta use same bar and chain. To me the 7900 chain looked more aggressive. The 500i sounded like it had much higher RPMs in the cut but chain was less aggressive.
Just calling them the way I see them.

Thanks Jeff. I had to change plans for my cutting today, so it was just an impromptu look at where these saws stand.

A lot of variables left on the table. I sort of just closed my eyes and picked a 79cc Dolmar to pair it against. Didn't adjust tune or anything.

I'll get both of them in prime condition and then we'll see "who's the boss". Lol.

Don't believe you can. Sideways videos are from pressing record with the phone in one position, and then rotating it 90° while still recording the vid. If you're gonna vid horizontal, press record while horizontal.

It was always horizontal and plays that way on my phone and iPad.



The 572 vidja was recorded without moving the phone and came out right.
