I'm just modding the muff cover … can't cost much to replace … and lot's of em will just stay that way!

I guess each person will just have to choose if it is right for them or not. If I did not think it worked, I would not have done it to my own 462.

I've done this mod for 4 different pros around here, and they all like it. Don't know what else to say.

I need to start running screens myself but hate using screws to secure them. I have to find some nut plates.

I gut the stock outlet and baffles inside and your still able to run a screen. Stock or light mods don’t really need more outlet than that anyway. Cost is 0$ and it looks stock.

Not about what you do at all Mike, you're certainly free to do as you please and by all means should do as such. Other folks are reading this and following your lead and on other saws than just Stihl. Just asking if you could kindly tone it down a notch on the speeches is all about this one particular subject.
Not just about screens either, I don't run them myself, but will make them for folks that do, not about me, it is however about Craftmanship and making something the new owner can be proud of owning while keeping costs down not having to purchase a new muffler. The parts house is the only one making out on the deal as it stands now.
