I ran it through a couple of heat cycles. Soon as snow melts I'm gunna let her rip!IMO, if you mod the muff and eliminate the carb limiters they run cooler and last longer (and run stronger). I usually add 2 - 1/4" holes on the high right side of the muffler cover to all the ones that come in. Then set the Lo screw 3/4 to 1 turn out and the H at about 1 + 1/8.

Yup, but we got alot of snow and I can't get over to my pile.Point in owning a arctic, is so you don't have to wait for warmer weather......
For me at least.
We'll see about that at the GTG.461s are nice till ya fire up a 661 then it's game on. The 661 will cut circles around the 660. The throttle response with any stihl m-tronic saw is unmatched.

Your 661 vs. Old junkie 660. [emoji48]
Mike, it's great you are having a good time messing with you saws, that said, the raft of muffkins that have been assaulted by drill bit bandits is on the rise, due in part surely by your recommendation. These saws end up being sold after the realization sets in that it's just not the hot ticket that was envisioned. The new owner is now on the hook for a new replacement muffkin that can be modded properly without holes poked in it all over the place. Your assistance in decreasing this new phenomenon would be appreciated.
