Ii heard very little popping. Maybe just a tiny bit. Are you going to back it off a couple degrees? That saw had it all to me... It had awesome throttle response very nice overrev and strong lugging ability. Very nice saw and sounded very free and in sync.

Chinese MS440, New west big bore.
Timed it at 103/120/64 without base gasket,
Squish at .016”.
Running in video with .020” gasket.
Definitely needs more intake.
Band is good and wide, compression feels stout.
There’s potential here for sure.
Going to come apart for porting after some run time.
