What did you use for dye? I had no idea you can dye plastic. Fine looking saw you got there.

I used Rit clothes dye. That was suggested by hedgerow. Two bottles in about three gallons of water on a slow simmer. I did it in the side burner in my gas grill. The orange plastic took the dye really well and was finished in about an hour. I let it go longer for the heck of it. The white tank took a lot longer. I bet I had it in the pot for at least four hours.

Saw looks like it's a runner!

Needs more exhaust Dan. Had the oiler on stingy too.

Working out the kinks still. I expect at least 32% more from it. I'll say it's conquered then.

This thing is coming along decently. I still need to get the muffler dealt with.
I just discovered the decompression valve is still leaking. I've had it with that damn thing. Time to plug it. I was thinking something wasn't quite right when it only blew 140 and it was easy to pull without pushing it in.

Since I videoed myself (first time I've taken video of myself running a saw) horsing around w/ junk chain on this 044 I'd thought I'd put the videos here in the video thread.

Also including myself and Dan @paragonbuilder running my 372 in red oak. Once I get new starter spool w/ new pawls for the 044 I'll run the 044 and 372 in this same oak to see how they do.
