Saw cuts good!

A little trick, I think @t4driller showed, is leave a slight bit on top and plunge through and cut out the bottom. Then come back up top and Clip it. Acts like a wedge.

i think this was the video u were referring to Dan. Realky helps to keep u from getting pinched. Especially wit dem huskies with outboard clutch. Lol

So, at 14500 RPM, will a hybrid outperform a hot 044 or 046?
IMO a properly built hybrid will be faster and stronger then a 044 no matter what bar. It should also be faster then a 046 with bars upto 25"-28". Once you get to a 28" or bigger the hybrid should be about equal to a 046.
Just my opinion.

IMO, the best running Hybrids will run right with the best ported 046/460s, but many of the Hybrids will fall short of that goal, generally having very good speed but lacking the torque of the ported 046/460s.

Ports, port timing and carbs all play an important role, and the saw will not meet it's potential with the wrong match.

My strongest ported 460 likes the HD-50 carb. My Hybrid likes the HD-11 Carb. They both run neck & neck. If I swap carbs between the two, they will still be neck and neck, but both saws will be 10-15% slower. That is a big difference!

My 460 is very strong! And Deets hybrid beat it consistently up to a 28" like Mike said. I didn't have a bigger bar at the time.
Well....deets hybrid is the nastiest saw ever. Don't feel bad. At least you lick more mouse jizz than he does. Winning.
