I think weight is overrated. A saw can be heavier but feel lighter. Plus I've never paid attention to what a saw weighs when I'm using it...

A 395 feels lighter with a 32" than with a 24" because it's balanced.
There has to be a drastic amount of weight difference before I ever notice

The 362 is lighter enough that I noticed.

660 661 395 whatever they feel the same weight to me

For bucking, it does not make much difference, for reaching & limbing, it won't take you long to know the difference.

That little 026 Al did for me has spoiled me on limbing saws, really notice the difference between that and the others.

If you cut down a big multi limbed yard tree (or 2 or 3), at the end of the day you almost won't be able to lift a saw!
You guys use to many saws to cut up a tree.
Gotta bring several just to cut one up.
If your reaching up just cut the limb off and cut it up on the ground.

I just pick the tool for the job...i agree..ive never paid attention to what a chainsaw weighs , big wood = big saw , small wood = small saw...never really looked at it any further.

I normally grab my 460. Most the trees I might cut aren't too big. Start out with a 28 or 25". Then when it needs touching up I'll prob put on a 20 for the rest of the tree

i can understand wanting a 024 if you wanna cut a few twigs or small firewood but if your doing it all day cutting 20" and up trees why not finish job faster with a bigger saw. I'm actually less tired when I finish job faster.

At Kevin's the other week we cut that post oak. We took 3 90cc and 1 044. 044 had the least use by a lot with the 395 and ported 661 getting the most.

We gots workin paws mikey.

I could be totally happy with a 90/60 or 90/50 and other than a topper to go along with those 2 id never need another saw.

I agree , i dont cut a ton of firewood anymore maybe 25-30 cords in 2016..but when i do the saw is the easiest part

I like 241s for small work.

This is what makes a nice ported 346 or MOFO 026 really nice.
Or even a strong running 350.

Most firewood guys bucking -- no prob. If you are responsible for processing sections of trees on a tree service and getting the brush setup for the chipper a limbing saw is key. We usually keep a 346 next to chipper for the occasional pesky log that won't feed, a guy using one limbing, etc. After all the brush is done it's then bucking time w/ 385 / 372 / 262 whatever. 346 can step in when needed ....

I always notice when I am lugging around the 084!
084 is the only saw that I immediately think about it weight when I pick it up.

Like Ryan said above, I have no use for a 70cc saw, there to close in weight to a 90cc and has much less powerful.

I'm either going to run a small saw or a big one.
Take off on foot packing your saw and gas and oil and cut and top as many as you can in a days time and I guarantee you will be shot but it's not from the saw being heavy. I said the other day if your saw is to heavy you won't last till lunch anyway.
