Which is why I like running a low exhaust in the timber here.I, myself, would always err on the side of more torque!
Yep. If it's just a milling saw I'll go for torque. Lower exhaust, lower transfers, with short intake duration. They aren't fun to run that way to me. Unless you're building for a 500 lb gorilla that grinds rakers off any wayI like both, not just one. When I port a saw I want to be all around better. Speed, torque, throttle response.
I port every saw pretty much the same, they all have tourqe and rpm and it's easy to lean one to the fast side or the tourqe side,I prefer them on the faster side but 90% of people will take the grunt over the extra 1k in rpm.I, myself, would always err on the side of more torque!
I trimmed the skirt to set intake timingI could be wrong but could running the longer skirt 64 piston in my 460 change intake #'s. I know the windows are bigger.
I like it. Makes it fun to run again
For a little bit it was the highest compression saw id ever seenI could be wrong but could running the longer skirt 64 piston in my 460 change intake #'s. I know the windows are bigger.

Longer skirt decreases intake duration. Did you put an 064 piston in that 460?I could be wrong but could running the longer skirt 64 piston in my 460 change intake #'s. I know the windows are bigger.

Did you build 66 stangs 460?I did
