Never cut Fla. pine but he usually says it's slash pine. I just searched and it appears its s.g. is about the same as red maple. Not sure what variety that vid was.

I've had wood go from blazing fast, to painfully slow in less than 18" of the same damn cant..

Most of my test stuff is slow ish, but soft enough to keep from damaging chain.

I've had red oak that was faster than hackberry.

Clean and consistent is what you're looking for.
If I could get white pine or aspen, I would.
