Heres that 359 “GTG” saw I did a while back, got bored and slapped the HDA199 back on it to see how it would do..
It runs fine, holds a tune but has a really mean rich bog if I let it sit for more than 10-15 seconds, possibly accelerator pump related.. its kinda torquey, even in harder woods running an 8 pin. And I know its not sugar maple or hickory or beech…. This chunk of hemlock is the only stuff I had laying around that I could play around with at the moment..
Echo 7310. I didn’t start with a timing advance thanks to my experience with the 4910’s. I will try throwing a couple degrees at it and see if makes a change.
