When I hear *s-word like this I just figure it all happens on facebook.I wanna know who the secret whiners are...
Same. Telling people you've never taken a COVID test takes it next level.Me either, people ask me all the time why they can't find me on Facebook. They are always in shock when I say that's because I don't have it!
People are afraid to leave the forum now? Wtf is this nonsense?
Lies. You're trying to figure out how to keep your account and get the surprise too.I don't even want to speculate as to what it involves...
Ryan told me he'd be giving me the "Banana Split Surprise" if I attempted to leave the forum, so I'm playing it safe.

254s are getting rare. I like the 262s since they are the same physical size but you can make them all run the same really
Yes it’s definitely no faster. But it’s the same crank case. Only the top cover is slightly taller. Not a lot of difference in size. Both good saws.My theory with 254's, at least up here, is most of them saw pro use and got used up by guys like my Dad who would sometimes go through 3 saws a year, and just get a new one when the old one puked.
262's were much less common in my neck of the woods back home, as in pulpwood production running a 15" in .325, a 262 is no faster, so, the price of the 254, and it being a bit smaller and neater handling won the day.
Correct the top handle is taller, the 254 is a smaller more compact sawI do believe the top handle is a little taller on the 262, the rear handle is a bit longer too, and the balance point is higher due to the longer rod/taller cylinder. Its one of those things you probably won't notice until you spend 50+ hours a week running the saws and doing ton of limbing. I know I never did until dad pointed it out
I figured you to be sitting in a combine at a border crossing. Saws sound great Mike.Same wood, same bar and chain and rim on both saws. Slightly different recipes

24”. That’s what the owner told me he plans on using on the saw all the time.Excellent work. Is that a 28" bar @Canadian farm boy
